Thank you...Thank you...Thank You

John

I am Co-Founder along with Jennifer of ADTAS, Alliance for Donation and Transplantation Awareness and Support. ADTAS is a Transplant Support Group Network for all transplant individuals Pre or Post there caregivers, family member and friends. We have Transplant Support Group meetings that are held twice a month on the 1st Thursday and the 3rd Monday of every month at 6:00pm. Located at the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties in San Bernardino. The address is 384 W. Orange Show Road San Bernardino CA 92408.

We picked these day's so that individuals on dialysis would be able to attend at least one meeting per month. You may find our meeting dates at
www.freewebs.com/adtas

We also have a online support group. It Titled Kidney, Liver and Pancreas. We are open to all transplant individuals. We have not changed the name at this point because we have a lot of members and it seems to be confusing for a lot of them.
We originally were listed as a Kidney, Liver and Pancreas group but were always open to all transplant individuals. We have changed all of our information to include all transplant individuals. The only thing that has not been changed at this point is the name of the online support group title.

Hi MJ. It has been awhile since I have been here. I have a lot of excuses...lol... I am having a lot of issues which are ending. I also had a very close friend that had waited for 13 years for a liver transplant. She passed away on Oct8th. I have been having issues dealing with that. Things are a little better in that area now. I am dealing with stage 3 kidney failure thank goodness it has not gotten any worse. Been hanging in at stage 3 since April. Any way I am doing well.

John

John I am sorry to hear you are sick. Please keep me posted on how things are going with you. I have been sick since Sept. and now they tell me not to think about the worse, but its possible I may have to go back on the list for a lung. I am hoping that it clears up soon and I can get off the oxygen. I sure do hate it.

Oh Happy Livervesary John I know its around the corner. :o)

Hi John!

I will be seeing my local Nephrologist on Nov 4th since going to the clinic has not helped. At first the doc gave me a 5 day dose of a medication which was helping by the 4th day but 5 days was not enough. Then I went back and he put me on 10 days but this time it did not help so I think my body now won't work with that med and I need a different one.

I love my new computer! It is soooo fast! The only thing is for some reason the mic now echos so I actually might have to stop using my sound card and use onboard (yuck) because it is powerful and my computer might be now too powerful for the old soundcard (I am guessing as I do not know).

It took me awhile to get your message because it has taken me awhile to get everything up and running and I wanted to catch up on my own site at kidneykorner.com and even though there is always more to do I think I did enough to start catching up everywhere else lol!

Wow I didn't know that people with liver transplants sometimes end up losing their kidneys too. I learn more every day from others! I would like to know more and hear how you are doing :)

Take care and talk to you later!

Hi Angie, I sure hope that your infection does not cause you any problems with your Kidney. "Congratulations" on your two year Tx. anniversary!! That is fantastic.

I am sorry to hear about you loosing everything on your computer. That has happened to me once. It is really messed up. I hope you don't have a lot of problems getting your things going again.

My appointment was o-k. I am stable. My Kidneys were at stage 3 in May. then in June they came down to stage 2. Last week they were back at stage 3. So bouncing around right in that area. I thought I was the lucky one. Everyone I know that has had a liver Transplant has some kind of Kidney probelms or is on Dialysis. I had not had any problems for 7 years. Now it seems I am joining the crowd.

Next Month, November 14th I will be "Celebrating" my 8th year for my liver transplant.

Anyway things are good right now. Have a good week.

John

Hi John! Sorry it took so long to get back to you! My computer went on the blitz and I had to get a whole new one! This one is much more stable but I lost everything on the drive!

The appointment went okay. Everything is stable. Right now I have a bladder infection so I worry about that effecting my kidney.  I just celebrated my 2 year transplant anniversary on Sept 30th :)

How did you appointment go?
