This site is dedicated to all the donors and donor families that gave all the recipients the Gift of Life!
My personal journey is much like everyone else’s here. My first experience with organ donation was when my husband died. I did not hesitate donating his tissue when approached. Almost 10 years later I was diagnosed with lung disease. The only chance I had to life was a lung transplant. I had my lung transplant July 1, 2007. I never had the chance to meet with the family that so graciously donated their loved ones organs so other like myself could live.
My life’s goal is to spread the word that transplantation works! If you have received the Gift of Life, if you are a donor family or a living donor, this site is for you. We want to share your story, we want to share your emotions, we want to share our love for life with you.
As you look around this site, take the time to read between the lines; our family is not just sharing words they are sharing the emotional feelings we have all felt during our time of sorrow and our time of rejoice! We are transplant recipients, we happy to be alive..
I am a the spouse of a donor and now I am a lung transplant recipient. I am alive because of you and for that act of compassion I will honor you and your family forever!
