This Monday, we come together for Mission Monday Cash Bingo in support of Paul Rice, who is currently waiting for a kidney transplant.

Paul Rice’s journey with kidney disease began in 2002 after a severe case of streptococcal pneumonia revealed an autoimmune disorder attacking his kidneys. Over time, his condition progressed, and in 2023—following a bout with COVID—Paul reached stage 5 kidney failure. The overwhelming fatigue, neuropathy, and complications forced him to step away from his career as a CDL truck driver.

That same year, Paul received an extraordinary gift of life. His daughter, Tiffany, was a perfect match and selflessly donated her kidney, allowing Paul to avoid dialysis. His transplant in August 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital was successful, restoring his strength and hope for the future.

Now in 2025, Paul’s journey continues. His autoimmune disease has begun attacking the transplanted kidney, placing him back in stage 4 renal failure. While facing familiar challenges, Paul remains deeply grateful for every day, for his daughter’s incredible sacrifice, and for the second chance he was given.

With hope and determination, Paul dreams of one day becoming a registered nurse once his health is restored again—so he can give back and help others navigate their own healing journeys.

Paul’s journey has been filled with strength, resilience, and unimaginable challenges — and now he needs our community more than ever. Every bingo card played helps provide critical financial support during this difficult time.
