About Jody:
If you live in Chester County, chances are—you know Jody Spangler. Maybe she served you a meal, taught your kids about composting, helped at a community event, or just showed up with a smile when it mattered most.
Jody is a formidable force with a soft, generous heart. She’s a lifelong volunteer—serving over 40 years at Ludwig’s Corner Fire Company #1, 30+ years with 4-H and the Boy Scouts of America, and as a proud Eagle Scout Mom. She’s also a Lions Club Member, a personal chef, a master composter, a homesteader, and a teacher to so many.
She’s the kind of person who has quietly taken in those in need, shared what she had, and lifted others up without asking for anything in return.
But now, she needs us.
Jody is in urgent need of a kidney transplant, and the financial burden is immense. Even with insurance, there are major out-of-pocket costs for medications, travel, lodging during recovery, and follow-up care.
We’re raising funds through Help Hope Live and the Transplant Alliance Foundation to ease that burden. This is a chance for the community she’s served so lovingly to give back.
Her farm in Glenmoore—Adragone Aeroponics—is not just a place where food grows. It’s a place where hope grows. Where neighbors gather, young people learn, and waste is turned into energy and nourishment. Jody helped build the first 10m³ Solar CITIES biodigester in North America right here, turning her own homestead into a teaching site for sustainable living. She is also an active Co-Founder of Solar CITIES, continuing to educate people around the world about home-scale biogas as a powerful solution for energy and fertilizer independence.
Jody and her husband Bob, her partner in life and in farming, have been married for 40 years. Together they’ve raised three sons and now delight in their ten grandchildren, who fill the farm with laughter, learning, and love. It’s a place of family fun, shared meals, and memories in the making—a place that means everything to them.
