The Heart Behind the Mission: Our Incredible Volunteers
At the Transplant Alliance Foundation, our mission to support transplant recipients would not be possible without the passion, energy, and generosity of our dedicated volunteers. In 2024, thanks to over 300 volunteers, we were able to raise and donate nearly $220,000 to support transplant patients and their families—a milestone we are incredibly proud of.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our foundation. Whether it’s behind the scenes or on the front lines of events, they play an essential role in everything we do. From Bingo Nights to blood drives, vendor fairs, and community outreach, they show up time and time again to help us turn compassion into action.
How Volunteers Make a Difference
There are so many ways our volunteers support the foundation:
- 🎟 Bingo Night Support – Helping mix bingo tickets, putting out programs, decorating for themed events, setting up tables, and partnering with other nonprofits to run joint bingo nights.
- 💉 Blood Drives – Assisting with registration, check-ins, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for donors.
- 🧺 Raffle Baskets & Donation Drives – Gathering and assembling raffle items, reaching out to local businesses for donations, and writing thank-you letters.
- 📬 Office & Mail Support – Prepping donation letters, stuffing envelopes, and organizing mailings—vital tasks that keep our communication strong.
- 💡 Mission Monday – Held on the last Monday of each month, this initiative is one of our largest volunteer-driven events, raising $11,981 as of March 31, 2025. Volunteers help spotlight an individual in need and run an evening of bingo to support their transplant journey.
- 👕 Merch & Swag Creation
Creative volunteers help design and produce T-shirts, tote bags, and other branded swag. These items raise awareness and give supporters a way to show their pride while helping fund our mission.
More Than Just Time—They Give Hope
Every hour donated, every task completed, and every smile shared helps move our mission forward. Our volunteers provide not only time and effort, but also a deep sense of community and hope for those navigating the transplant process.
